  2. Take 1 cup onion pureed

  6. Prepare 1 bay leaf
  7. Make ready 2 green cardamom

Instructions to make Choley Chawal:
  1. Rinse chickpeas, soak them overnight.
  2. Next day, drain the water and rinse them well.
  3. Add to a pressure cooker along with 11/2 cup water.
  4. Pressure cook until soft for 5-6 whistle.
  5. Heat oil in a pan add cinnamon, clove, cardamom and bay leaf saute for a minute.
  6. Add ginger+ Garlic paste saute until the raw smell goes. Add onion paste saute, now add tomatoes green chilli saute for 6-7 minutes.
  7. Add salt, all spices stir well.
  8. Add cooked chickpeas along with the stock and 1 add cup water.
  9. Cover and simmer on a low flame for about 20 minutes.
  10. Sprinkle coriender leaves serve with hot steamed rice.
