  4. Take 1/2 tsp Zeera
  5. Prepare 4-5 Curry Patta
  6. Take 1 tbsp ghee
Steps to make Kodo Millet upma:
  1. Wash and soak kodo overnight or for 3 hours.
  2. Take a pressure cooker - Add ghee followed by the whole jeera and curry leaves Let jeera crackle then add chopped carrots and peas. You can add soy, beans or any other vegetable of your choice. - Sauté for 1-2 minutes
  3. Then add soaked kodo and stir - Let it get roasted in ghee for 2-3 minutes - Add salt and black pepper to the taste.
  4. Now add 2-3 cups of water according to the consistency you need. If you want dry type upma then add only two cups of water.
  5. Now put the lid and cook for just two whistles.
  6. Keep it on a low flame so that every thing gets cooked well - Once the pressure is released open the lid carefully and enjoy hot kodo millet upma with curd.
