  1. Firstly in a wide pan heat ghee once ghee is hot add flour on low flame till it turns aromatic.
  2. In another pan melt sugar adding water and boil til 1 string consistency.
  3. Now add sugar syrup in roasted flour. Stir continuously till the flour gets combined well without any lumps.
  4. Add cardamom powder and chopped nuts and mix well. Mixture becomes thick and start to leave the sides of pan.
  5. Cook till mixture is thick. Now mixture into four equal parts..
  6. In one part add orange food colour, in second part add green colour and third part add chocolate food colour and fourth part remain white.
  7. Shape into your choice. Finally serve barfi.
