Here is my way of kappa puzhukku preparation with my all time favorite combo "Kappayum Neymeen mulaku Curryum" (mashed tapioca with spicy king fish curry). Fresh and good tapiocas cook fast while spoiled ones take a long time to become tender.

  1. Get 1/2 kg Tapioca
  2. Take 4 green chilli
  3. Prepare half cup coconut Grated
  4. Get 1/4 tsps Turmeric powder

  6. Prepare 2 Shallots
  7. Prepare 2 Garlic
  8. Make ready to taste Salt
  9. Prepare 1 tablespoon Oil
  10. Get as required Mustard seeds
  11. Get Curry leaves
  12. Take 2 chillies dried

Kappa Puzhukku - Learn how to make Kappa Puzhukku simple recipe - Here goes traditional Kerala style recipe - Topioca recipe Tapioca is one of the most popular dish among Keralites especially in central Kerala. Tapioca though tasty, is a highly starchy. Puzhukku, tapioca chips and puttu are some of the dishes that can be prepared with dry tapioca. Wash the unnakka kappa pieces well and soak them overnight in enough water.

Instructions to make Kappapuzhuku (cooked tapioca):
  1. Remove the skin of tapioca
  2. Cut into small pieces
  3. Boil for 20 mnts or till done (cooking time varies for each variety/season/place ofcultivation)
  4. W hen cooked drain the water
  5. Grind  green chllies, grated coconut,  jeera, turmeric, shallots and garlic to a coarse paste.
  6. Heat oil in tawa, add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chillies. After spluttering add the ground masala with very little water. Saute for 2 minutes. Add cooked tapioca and salt to taste and mix well.
  7. Serve with  any curry, preferably fish curry.
