Steps to make Farali Tacos:
- Take fast flour in a bowl. Add some oil, sesame seeds and salt as required. Knead a soft dough by using warm water.
- Cover the dough with wet cloth and leave to sit at room temperature for 25-30 minutes
- In a pan, roast some peanuts and coconut. Transfer it into a jar, add ginger, chilli and salt per taste. Grind it.
- In a pan, heat some oil. Saute tomato and red chilli. Give it a good mix. Texture should be like a paste.
- For filling, heat oil in a pan, add some cumin and sesame seeds, after it get crackled, add tomato chilli paste. Saute it for half a minute on medium to high flame. Then add the powder of peanuts we prepared before. Give it a good mix at low flame.
- Add mashed potatoes, black pepper, salt per taste. At last sprinkle some fresh coriander. Filling is ready.
- For making tacos, knead dough again for smooth texture. Take a small portion of dough and roll it round shaped. On a tawa, roast it lightly with butter.
- Now take the roti and spread some green chutney on it. Put potato filling on one side and fold the roti like we do in tacos.
- On tawa brush some oil/ghee/butter and place the Taco on it. Roast it from both side and also from center with the use of tongs. Farali Tacos are ready. Serve it hot with green chutney
- Tips: You can serve it with curd. - You can replace potato filling with capsicums and veggies filling. It can be turned into farali Quesadilla. - You can also dip fry the tacos. You can also add cheese if you want. Green chutney is made with coriander leaves, mint leaves, ginger, chilli, peanuts, salt and lemon.
