Steps to make Navaratan Pulao:
  1. Blanch all the vegetables in hot water for two minutes. Take them out from water.
  2. In a pan heat two tbsp of ghee. Add almond. Fry it for few second. Take it out from the pan. Add cashew nut, fry few second. Take it out from the pan.
  3. Add raisins. Once they swell up. Then take it out. Fry paneer cubes and take them out.
  4. Now add two tbsp of ghee in the same pan. Add bay leaves, green cardamom, whole black pepper, cinnamon and cloves. Cook for few second, add chopped onion. Cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden in colour.
  5. Add ginger paste, Cook for few second. Then add vegetables and chopped tomatoes saute for one to two minutes.
  6. Add salt and sugar. Mix well. Then add boiled rice. Cook for 2-3 minutes on low flame. Add fried dry fruits and saute. Now add saffron (dissolve in warm milk). Mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve with egg curry.
